Everything about Juston & Britt's fall nuptuials called to me when I first chatted with them at the Mankato Bridal Show in Sept of 2015. The call became clearer once we chatted about their details over the next year and their strong need to be able to enjoy their day on their terms, without being moved into a 1000 different poses and send cheesy smiles at the camera.

Let me tell you it was AMAZING. Capturing this lovely couple's emotion and connection was a breeze. As they moved through their day you could tell each one knew each other's heart. It was in the way her smile glowed when she was about to see him for the first time, and in how he wiped her tears away as they said their vows. 

As a wedding photographer I don't blame them. It's easy to be caught up in picture lists and set poses, but regardless of if my couples choose documentary or lifestyle as their photography style I always see my role as the capturing moments as they happen. 

Because I can't orchestrate love. It's what makes smiles glow, laughter happy, and touch so much sweeter.
