4th Annual Our Community Has Heart
Some stories can be detailed in numbers. Six years ago I met a girl, a college acquaintance really. Four years ago we both had our first child. Her's was little girl named Hazel. She was one of one hundred. Meaning, she was one baby in every hundred births in the US that was born with a congenital heart defect. She gained her angel wings, but what an impact she made.
She unites mothers and fathers and loved ones who wanted answers. She makes friends through people who want to show support. She and other heart angels bring awareness through an amazing event called Our Community Has Heart. This year at the 4th Annual Our Community Has Heart she and 26 other heart angels and warriors helped raise $27,315 to benefit families congenital defects.
