The Sweetest Love | Domonique + Bethany | Twin Cities Wedding Photographer

"I don't know if I could say exactly what made me fall in love with him. It came out of no where and didn't seem to make sense of course, but I knew that all I wanted to was be with him all the time and couldn't ever tell say "I love you" too many times. All I know is that we are madly in love and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together."

Bethany's inquiry for a wedding photographer landed in my inbox like every other inquiry, but it's her words that really spoke to me when describing her relationship with her fiance.

"It came out of no where and it didn't seem to make any sense."

This road to love is so well traveled. We feel like we know what we want and then "BAM" love shows up in the form of what we need and gives us the security cut through the confusion of our feelings. Love has us know, that this person in your life takes up so much space in your heart and being that if they weren't there you would feel hollow.

Meeting these two teachers in person put what Bethany described into perspective. She and I instantly connected over very similar backgrounds of being adopted, and our love for tacos, but on top of that she was just flat out....sweet, caring and full of honest joy.

And the there is her man, Domonique. From the first handshake, I felt as if he was telling a joke. About me, the coffee shop we met at, his leading lady by essentially stating the obvious with just enough sarcasm to not offend. It reminded me enough of my own husband to laughingly say. "Listen, I got your number. I married a man just like you."

As we settled in and started chatting it all made sense why these two were drawn to each other. They not only shared the same passion about teaching, but also about being teachers of color. They also "got" each other. For all their quirks (everyone has them) they were patient with each other.

And when building a life and growing in love together that patience is so important. Patience will let them see each other through. Her sweetness and joy will be a balm for them and his jokes and laughter will make them light. What they have is the sweetest kind of love.
